Our second Festival Forbidden Music Regained took place on November 12 2022.
This year no Covid19 restrictions. This resulted ted in a sold out house:
the Bernard Haitink Hall of the Conservatorium of Amsterdam.
We heard 8 ensembles in two concerts, 29 young musicians in all.
Works by Daniel Belinfante, James Simon, Geza Frid, Leo Smit, Dick Kattenburg, Rosy Wertheim,
Bob Hanf and Henriëtte Bosmans.
Together with Donemus and the Netherlands Music Institute, we presented
25 new published scores.
Roger van Boxtel, president of the Leo Smit Foundation, handed the first score to
conductor David Porcelijn en the second one to sponsor Heather Kurzbauer.
The applause at the end of the festival lasted many, many minutes,
all 29 musicians on stage.
